What "synthetic fragrance" actually means
Synthetic fragrance is a broad, often unregulated term covering lab-created compounds designed to mimic a scent — vanilla, cedar, citrus — without actually containing the real ingredient. Companies aren't required to disclose what's inside a "fragrance" blend, which means you often don't know exactly what you're breathing in.
What we use instead
Every Simmer Society blend is made from real, whole ingredients — citrus, herbs, spices, and botanicals you can see, name, and recognize. Cedar means actual cedar. Orange means actual orange. Nothing is standing in for something else.
Why this matters beyond just "natural" as a buzzword
